KAI Ensures Strict Action On Eid Ticket Brokers For The Comfort Of Passengers

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) has confirmed that it will take firm action against brokers who resell tickets for profit. This is done for the convenience and smooth running of passengers during the 2025 Eid holiday transportation.

"Customers can immediately report suspicious broker activities through the KAI121 complaint service which can be contacted 24 hours via social media, [email protected] email, or WhatsApp KAI121 at 0811-1211-1121. KAI will take firm action against brokers who harm customers," said KAI VP Public Relations Anne Purba confirmed in Jakarta, Anara, Friday, February 14.

KAI also reminded customers to only buy tickets through the available official channels to ensure the best price and comfort in bookings.

Ticket reservations for Eid 2025 transportation have been open since February 4, 2025. Tickets can be purchased up to D-45 before departure via the Access by KAI application, booking.kai.id website, and official Online Travel Agent (OTA) partners.

"We urge customers to only buy tickets through the official KAI channel to avoid potential fraud and booking errors," said Anne.

Furthermore, he said that the public also needs to know that the station counter only serves purchases that come directly (go show) starting 3 hours before the train departure.

"Starting February 4, tickets for departures up to 45 days before Eid can be booked at 00.00 WIB. We urge customers to immediately plan their trip so they don't run out of tickets and get the best price," said Anne.

In facing high demand during the 2025 Lebaran homecoming period, KAI is preparing additional train services to provide more travel options for the community.

Currently, 2,877,473 seats are available for regular JJ train trips from March 21 to April 11, 2025.

To ensure a safe and comfortable journey, KAI conducts a thorough inspection of railway facilities, including technical and operational checks on locomotives and train series.

"Security remains KAI's top priority in dealing with a surge in passengers during this year's Eid transportation period," he said.

He added that currently a number of favorite regular trains (KA) for Eid al-Fitr travel have been ordered, including Airlangga Train, Bengawan train, Kahuripan train, Serayu train, South Kutojaya train, Tegal Bahari train, Gumarang train, Sawunggalih train, Blambangan Express train, Mataramaja train, Fajar Utama YK train, and Majapahit train.

KAI is committed to continuing to provide a safe, comfortable, and pleasant travel experience for all passengers during Eid 2025 transportation.

"We will continue to innovate and improve services in order to provide a better homecoming experience," Anne said.
