JAKARTA - General Chairperson of the Indonesian Teachers Association (PGRI), Prof. Dr. Unifah Rosyidi, M.Pd., emphasized the importance of legal protection for the teaching profession through the proposed Draft Law (RUU) on Teacher Professional Protection.
This was conveyed at the 2025 National Working Conference (Konkernas) which was attended by 1,200 PGRI administrators from all over Indonesia and opened by the mother of an Indonesian teacher, Siti Hediati (Mrs. Titiek Suharto).
Unifah Rosyidi stressed that protection of teachers must have a strong legal basis so that it can be applied effectively and bind to all parties.
"The protection of teachers is part of our efforts to maintain the munah of the teaching profession and place them as the honorable profession (official kiss nobile).
