KPK Summons Mbak Ita And Husband As Suspects Today

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has scheduled a summons to the Mayor of Semarang Hevearita Gunaryanti Rahayu and her husband who is also the Chairman of Commission D of the Central Java Provincial DPRD, Arwin Basri today, Tuesday, February 11.

They were examined in their capacity as suspects in alleged corruption in the Semarang City Government.

"That's right (the examination as a suspect is scheduled, red)," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika to reporters when confirmed, Tuesday, February 11.

The KPK has summoned Mbak Ita and her husband, Alwin Basri three times but they were not present. Finally, investigators asked both of them to attend on Wednesday, January 22.

The KPK has detained two suspects in a corruption case within the Semarang City Government (Pemkot), Central Java on Friday, January 17. They are Martono who is the Chairman of the Association of Indonesian National Construction Implementers (Gapensi) of Semarang City and Rachmat Djangkar.

Martono was detained for allegedly participating in receiving gratuities together with the Mayor of Semarang Hevearita Gunaryanti Rahayu alias Mbak Ita and her husband, Alwin Basri who also serves as Chairman of Commission D of the Central Java Provincial DPRD.

Meanwhile, Rachmat was detained for allegedly giving bribes related to the procurement of tables and elementary school chairs at the Semarang City Education Office.

Saat ini ada tiga dugaan korupsi diduga terjadi dan sedang diusut. Rinciannya adalah pengadaan barang dan jasa di Pemkot Semarang pada 2023-2024, dugaan pemerasan terhadap pegawai negeri terkait insentif pemungutan pajak dan retribusi daerah Kota Semarang serta dugaan penerimaan gratifikasi pada 2023-2024.

Currently, there are three allegations of corruption that allegedly occurred and are being investigated. The details are the procurement of goods and services at the Semarang City Government in 2023-2024, the alleged extortion of civil servants related to incentives for collecting taxes and levies in the Semarang City area as well as the alleged receipt of gratuities in 2023-2024.
