Kabat Guka Comes From Southeast Sulawesi, 208 People Died Due To COVID-19

JAKARTA - The Southeast Sulawesi (Southeast Sulawesi) COVID-19 Handling Task Force Team said that the number of patients who died from being infected with COVID-19 had increased to 208 people today, after two more people today.

Reported by Antara, Wednesday, April 21, Spokesperson for the Southeast Sulawesi COVID-19 Handling Task Force, La Ode Rabiul Awal in Kendari, said that the data on patients who were confirmed positive for COVID-19 who died were recorded as two people from two districts.

"The patient died today, a 36-year-old man from North Kolaka Regency and a 64-year-old woman from Central Buton Regency," he said.

He said the distribution of death cases in Southeast Sulawesi included Central Buton Regency to three people, North Kolaka to 13 people, Buton 11 people, Muna 14 people, Konawe 20 people, Kolaka 15 people, Konawe Selatan 15 people, Bombana eight people, Wakatobi Regency two people. 7 people, North Buton seven people, North Konawe one person, East Kolaka five people, Konawe Islands one person, West Muna four people, South Buton four people, Kendari City 59 people, and Baubau City 26 people.

He also said that there had been an addition of eight new positive cases, bringing the positive cases of COVID-19 in Southeast Sulawesi to 10,353 people.

The details of the new positive cases today are one each from Konawe, South Konawe, North Konawe, Bombana, Central Buton, Baubau City, and Kendari City two districts.

"For patients recovering 16 days, two are from Kolaka Regency and 14 from Kendari City, so that the total number of patients recovered is 9,771 people," said Rabiul.

He asked all people to always apply health protocols to start wearing masks, keep their distance, and diligently wash their hands using running water, in order to break the chain of spreading COVID-19 in the area.

"Positive cases, there are still additional deaths, so this must be our attention to discipline the health protocol even though there is currently a vaccination program," he said.
