He also said that there had been an addition of eight new positive cases, bringing the positive cases of COVID-19 in Southeast Sulawesi to 10,353 people.

"For patients recovering 16 days, two are from Kolaka Regency and 14 from Kendari City, so that the total number of patients recovered is 9,771 people," said Rabiul.

He asked all people to always apply health protocols to start wearing masks, keep their distance, and diligently wash their hands using running water, in order to break the chain of spreading COVID-19 in the area.

"Positive cases, there are still additional deaths, so this must be our attention to discipline the health protocol even though there is currently a vaccination program," he said.
