Liquid Fertilizer Owner In Situbondo Admits To Police It Has Been Operating For 2 Years, Turnover Is IDR 100 Million Per Month

SitubonDO - Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Situbondo Police, AKP Evandy Romi Meilan, said that the production of liquid fertilizer is suspected to have been fake for two years and has a turnover of around Rp. 100 million per month.

"After being investigated by investigators, the owner of the allegedly fake liquid fertilizer production site admitted that he had produced it for two years in Situbondo," he said in Situbondo, East Java, Antara, Monday, January 10.

Evandy said that in addition to securing the owner of the production of liquid fertilizer allegedly fake with the initials BH and an employee with the initials MSM (19), a resident from Stabat District, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra, the police also have evidence of sales transactions.

Among them are bank accounts in the name of BH, cell phones belonging to the alleged perpetrator and one Lenovo brand laptop, including evidence of 1,230 bottles of liquid fertilizer allegedly fake ready for distribution.

In addition, it also confiscated two large drums of coconut water, two parachute drums, two salmar drums, four banana water drums, two big max drums, one top sas drum, two big jos drums, and two drums.

Other evidence, namely one small drum of top sas, one drum of responsibility containing banana water, one drum of salt responsibility, 34 jerry cans containing fertilizer, four gallons containing liquid fertilizer, labels/sticers, hundreds of bottle caps, hundreds of bottles, dozens of cardboard, calculators, scales, and large mixers.

"For BH as the owner of the liquid fertilizer production business, detention has been carried out and charged under Article 122 in conjunction with Article 73 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 22 of 2019 concerning the Agricultural Cultivation System and Article 8 Paragraph 1 Letter a of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection," said Evandy.

Members of the Situbondo Police Satreskrim raided the house rented by BH, which is the production site for the allegedly fake liquid fertilizer in Panji Kidul Village, Panji District, on Sunday (9/2).

The disclosure of the allegedly fake liquid fertilizer production site in the rented house began with information from local residents that there was a pungent odor from the suspect's house and there was a shipment of a number of bottles suspected of being liquid fertilizer.
