Reopening, The Indonesian Embassy In Brunei Welcomes The Direct Flight Of The Begawan-Balikpapan Series Bandar

JAKARTA - The reopening of the direct flight route between the capital city of Brunei, Begawan Series Bandar, and Balikpapan City in East Kalimantan, Indonesia was welcomed by the Indonesian Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam Achmad Ubaedillah.

"Reactivation of the Begawan-Balikpapan Bandar Seri flight route is a very important moment in bilateral relations between Indonesia and Brunei Darussalam," said Ambassador Achmad, as stated in a written statement by the Indonesian Embassy in Bandar Seri Begawan, quoted from ANTARA, Saturday, February 8.

This was conveyed by Ambassador Achmad at a reception organized by Royal Brunei Airlines, the Brunei national airline which will operate the Begawan-Balikpapan Bandar Seri flight route.

In addition to the Indonesian Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam, the reception was also attended by the Minister of Development of Brunei and the Chairman of the Royal Brunei Airlines Mohd Juanda bin Hj Abdul Rashid along with representatives of the Brunei business community and the Indonesian community in Brunei.

Dalam agenda tersebut, Ambassador Achmad juga mendorong semua pihak, baik di Indonesia maupun di Brunei Darussalam, untuk bekerja sama dalam meningkatkan konektivitas Brunei dengan kota-kota lain di Indonesia.

"This step is the realization of a very strong desire to increase connectivity between nations, between cultures and the economy of the two countries," said the Ambassador.

According to information from the Indonesian Embassy in the Begawan Series Bandar, the inaugural flight of Royal Brunei Airlines from Begawan Series Bandar to Balikpapan will be held on February 19.

In the context of re-launching the Begawan-Balikpapan Bandar Seri live flight, the Brunei national airline will also hold a similar reception in Balikpapan on February 21.
