Trump Inflamed, FBI Boss Finally Submits List Of Employee Names Investigating Capitol Building Attacks

JAKARTA - The acting head of the FBI has finally submitted a list of FBI employees working on an investigation regarding the January 6, 2021 attack on the US Capitol Building. This list of names was submitted to the US Department of Justice.

Emil Bove, a former lawyer for President Donald Trump who now holds a senior position in the Justice Department, asked the FBI for this information as part of a review of the breach related to the investigation.

The handling of the January 6, 2021 attack caused nearly 1,600 criminal cases against Trump supporters.

FBI agents have sued to block the disclosure of these names to the public. Meanwhile, the court hearing is scheduled for Friday, February 7 afternoon local time.

Disputes over the list became hotspots as the FBI sought to maintain its independence as the Trump administration urged to fire or rule out officials working on the investigation of the Capitol attack condemned by Trump.

Brian totaling, acting director of the FBI, rejected requests for these names, so Bove accused him of disobedience.

The list submitted by the FBI earlier this week identified agents only based on their employee identification numbers, sources told Reuters.

The Justice Department also asked for a list of agents involved in the US criminal case against leaders of the Hamas militant group.

The Justice Department said it had no immediate plans to publicly announce the names of employees included in the list.

Bove said agents who only follow the investigation order will not be subject to disciplinary action.
