Joint officers from the East Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept. and East Jakarta Traffic Unit conducted a raid to check the brakes and KIR letters on trucks transporting mineral water and trucks transporting other goods in the Dr Rajiman Street area, Cakung District, East Jakarta, Friday, February 7.

The raid was carried out in the aftermath of a fatal accident case in the Ciawi area, Bogor, a few days ago. The raid was carried out to minimize the prevention of accident cases in the East Jakarta area.

From observations, one by one the trucks loaded and empty were stopped by joint officers and checked the brakes and vehicle documents ranging from STNK, SIM and KIR.

Police officers check vehicle documents and driver's licenses. Meanwhile, the Sub-Department of Transportation checked the vehicle's KIR letter.

"The cross- Jaya operation with the side ranks is a routine activity," said East Jakarta Sub-dept. supervisor Nurul Anwar to reporters.

The raid on a number of trucks carrying goods was carried out on two sections of the Dr Rajiman Street route, Cakung District, East Jakarta.

Joint officers only target a number of passing goods transport trucks.

"The goal is to minimize the occurrence of vehicle accidents. What is checked is the brakes and letters, so far the results are good," he said.

This raid will continue to be carried out with random points in the East Jakarta area. The raid was carried out to prevent high accidents.
