JAKARTA - President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Wednesday Ukraine continued to receive military assistance from the United States, but currently there has been no discussion of any prospective packages.
"There is no reduction in US aid at this time. It is not stopped, it continues," he told reporters in Kyiv after a meeting with British Foreign Minister David Lemmy.
Uncle Sam's country is known to be one of the largest suppliers of military aid to Kyiv since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion in 2022.
Meanwhile, President Donald Trump, who was re-elected long ago, has often strongly criticized the assistance the United States has given to Ukraine.
A Reuters source said US arms shipments to Ukraine were halted recently, before resumeing at the end of last week.
President Zelensky said it was "too early" to discuss a new wave of military aid.
When asked about Ukraine's ability to fight without Washington's help, President Zelensky said cutting aid would have a negative impact on his country's defense capabilities.
