DENPASAR - Bali Regional Secretary (Sekda) Dewa Made Indra began conducting inspections at regional apparatus offices to ensure that all employees used tumblers.

"This inspection has been started since yesterday to coincide with the date of the implementation of Circular Letter Number 2 of 2025 which regulates restrictions on the onset of single-use plastic waste," he said, Wednesday, February 5.

The Regional Secretary has conducted inspections of 10 offices including the Tourism Office; Education, Youth and Sports; and the Office of Communication, Informatics, and Statistics, and saw that the single-use plastic bottle was replaced with a bottle.

He appreciated the head of regional apparatus that socialized this directive to his staff, ranging from submitting it through morning apples to distributing strikes directly to his staff.

The Regional Secretary also appreciated employees within the Bali Provincial Government who immediately implemented their mandatory directives starting last Monday (3/2), although there are still directives regarding the use of appropriate drinking bottles according to the plastic waste reduction mission.

"I recommend the use of tumbler made from stainless, if you use a tumbler made from plastic, make sure it is BPA-free," he said.
