BIMA - A resident, 40-year-old Herman from Wora Village, Wera District, Bima Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) who was reported missing when he was swept away by flash floods was found dead, Monday morning.

"The victim's body was found by residents who came down to continue their search around the river between the bushes," Wera Sub-district Head Ilham told ANTARA in Bima, Monday, February 3.

The victim was one of nine people who were reported missing during the flash flood last Sunday.

"These victims are three Wora residents who were informed to be missing during the flood. Meanwhile, six other people from Nanga Wera Village are still searching," he explained.

Previously, the flash flood that occurred on Sunday (2/2) caused several houses in the Nanga Wera and Wora areas to fall.

In the event as many as nine residents were reported to have been carried away by the current, and since the incident, the joint search team and local residents have made rescue and search efforts.

The search for other victims while local residents and rescue teams were still being carried out, assisted by officers from the Bima Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD).
