CIAMIS Dozens of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Ciamis, West Java, reported allegations of fraud related to the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) program to the Ciamis Police.

The victims claimed to have been deceived by the promise to become suppliers in the MBG program, but were asked to pay a fee of up to Rp. 11 million per person.

Three representatives of victims submitted an official complaint to the Ciamis Police Integrated Service Center (SPKT) on Saturday, February 1.

They explained that a community called Jakwir claimed to be the only institution appointed by the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) to manage MBG programs throughout Indonesia.

The total loss suffered by dozens of victims is estimated at more than Rp. 1 billion. In addition to being required to prepare a healthy kitchen, each victim is also asked to pay Rp. 11 million for contract fees, administration, halal certification, training, and food laboratory tests.

Ramdan, one of the victims, revealed that Jakwir promised to distribute a list of MBG recipient schools in December 2024. However, until now there has been no clarity regarding this, while the victims have deposited the required money.

"For the requirements, every MSME member who is a member of Jakwir is asked to pay Rp. 11 million, and promised to be a partner of the MBG program. Initially we believed, but until now there has been no certainty. There is even a notification of the postponement of the MBG program in Ciamis," said Ramdan.

The victims had tried to mediate with Jakwir's management to ask for money, but these efforts were fruitless. Finally, they decided to report the case to the police.

"In this report, my friends and I complained about the three perpetrators, namely the chairman and two administrators of the Jakwir association. They have not yet returned our money, and there is no clarity regarding the continuation of the MBG program," said Ramdan.

The victims hope that the government will immediately intervene to provide solutions and ensure that similar incidents do not happen again in the future.

They also asked that perpetrators who misuse the MBG program for personal gain be immediately prosecuted according to the applicable law.
