Due To Heavy Rain, A Number Of Villages In Boyolali Were Submerged By Floods

Heavy rain with high intensity that flushed Boyolali Regency, Central Java, since Saturday afternoon has caused flooding in a number of villages in three sub-districts.

The Head of BPBD Boyolali Regency, Suratno, said that the flood occurred due to overflowing water in several areas. Based on a report from the Disaster Management Operations Control Center (Pusdalop), the affected areas include:

Sambi District: Ginting Village, Champion Village Simo District: Pelem Village Nogosari District: Keyongan Village, Guli Village, Ketitan Village

From reports in the field, flooding in Ketitan Village was quite severe, even the water level reached the bottom of the roof of the residents' houses.

The Boyolali BPBD Rapid Response Team (TRC) has been deployed to various affected points. At the time of the incident, two people were reported to have been trapped in the middle of the flood, but were successfully evacuated by volunteers and local residents.

BPBD divided its teams into several priority locations, especially in Nogosari and Sambi sub-districts, to carry out emergency handling and monitoring of conditions in the field.

Current Conditions Until 22.30 WIB, the flood began to recede at several points, including Jaga Village. However, for other villages, information updates are still waiting for reports from the team in the field.

BPBD continues to monitor the situation and urges residents to remain alert to the potential for further flooding.
