East Java Police Check Mentality Of Body Mutilation Perpetrators In Suitcases In Ngawi

The Head of Public Relations of the East Java Police, Kombes Pol. Dirmanto, stated that his party had dispatched three forensic experts to conduct an examination and analyze the mental condition of the perpetrators of the corpse mutilation in a suitcase in Ngawi.

"We have examined the perpetrators for approximately six hours, from morning to noon. The results are still in the process of being analyzed, later we will tell whether the suspect has a psychopathic tendency or not," said Dirmanto quoting Antara.

Although CCTV footage shows that the suspect and the victim looked familiar before the incident, Dirmanto continued, further investigation revealed the problem between the two before the heinous act occurred.

"From the CCTV footage, it looks like they are doing well. However, after we investigated further, it turned out that there were problems involving both of them. This is what we are currently investigating further," he said.

Dirmanto said that currently his party is still analyzing the pieces of video footage and conducting an in-depth investigation regarding the motives of the perpetrators.

"We are still looking at the existing video pieces to get a clearer picture of what really happened before this incident," he said.

Previously, a woman with the initials UK (29) was suspected of being a victim of murder and mutilation.

Residents found the victim's body in a red suitcase in Ngawi Regency, East Java on Thursday (23/1).

Meanwhile, other pieces of the victim's body were found in Ponorogo Regency and Trenggalek Regency.

The police managed to arrest the perpetrator of the mutilation with the initials RTH alias A (32), a resident of Tulungagung, on Saturday (25/1).

The suspect, RTH, admitted that he was hurt so he was determined to kill and mutilate the UK victim.

The Directorate of General Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimum) of the East Java Police has named RTH alias A (32) as a suspect in the case of mutilation of the woman's body found in a suitcase in Ngawi, East Java.

RTH was charged with Article 340 of the Criminal Code concerning premeditated murder, subsidiary 338 of the Criminal Code concerning murder, subsidiary to Article 351 of the Criminal Code paragraph 3 and Article 365 paragraph 3 of the Criminal Code with the threat of a maximum penalty (punishment) of death or life imprisonment.
