3 Kg LPG Gas In Jakarta Is Rare, DKI Provincial Government Explains The Cause

Hari admitted that the proposed subsidized LPG gas quota in Jakarta for 2024 is smaller than the amount of LPG gas distributed in 2024.

There is a reduction of 1.6 percent of the quota from last year. In fact, the DKI Provincial Government asked the Directorate General of Oil and Gas of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources to add a 4 percent subsidized LPG gas quota, but it was not granted.

"From the beginning, the subsidized LPG quota for Jakarta in 2025 was 407,555 MT, while the realization of LPG distribution in 2024 was 414,134 MT," Hari told reporters, Thursday, January 30.

Based on field checks, basically the distribution of LPG in DKI Jakarta is still sufficient. However, Hari is currently high in demand.

Hari said that the process of requesting additional LPG quota in the last few days was hampered because there was a long holiday celebrating Isra Mi'raj, collective leave, and Chinese New Year.

"Sehingga untuk penyaluran tanggal merah di tanggal 27 Januari dan 29 Januari mengambil 50 persen dari alokasi minggu sebelumnya," ungkap Hari.

Sejauh ini, Pemprov DKI sudah mengantisipasi kelangkaan gas LPG, yakni menarik sebagian stok subsidi di tanggal lain untuk ditambah saat permintaan tinggi. Pengecekan di lapangan juga dilakukan secara berkala.

"Monitor of stock availability at the base with a photo report on the condition of the base every morning and evening. Ask agents to immediately supply it to areas whose stock at the base is empty and will run out," he explained.
