HPN 2025 Banjarmasin: Bumi Lambung Mangkurat' Bentangan Zamrud Launched

The 2025 National Press Day Committee (HPN) in South Kalimantan (Kalsel) officially launched the book Bumi Lambung Mangkurat Bentangan Zamrud. This book highlights the wealth of food barns, agriculture, and tourism potential in the province nicknamed Bumi Lambung Mangkurat.

This 200-page book is printed in a lux format, containing 29 articles in two chapters. The first chapter is entitled Zamrud Suaka Agricultural, while the second chapter is Zamrud Suaka Wisata. The writers are from PWI Pusat and PWI South Kalimantan.

The chairman of the Central PWI, Hendry Ch Bangun, stated that the publication of this book was an appreciation to South Kalimantan as the host of the 2025 HPN. South Kalimantan is rich in natural resources and its tourism potential. Moreover, this province is one of the national food barns," said Hendry, Saturday, January 25.

President Prabowo Subianto's government also supports the food security program by launching a 500 thousand hectare People's Rice Field Print (CSR) in South Kalimantan. This program began in Banjarbaru in November 2024, in line with the theme HPN 2025: The Press Guards Food Security for National Independence.

The chairman of the 2025 HPN Implementing Committee, Raja Parlindungan Pane, added, "This book is a form of concrete support for the Central PWI for the food security program in South Kalimantan. We hope that readers can better understand the intricacies of food and tourism here."

The Governor of South Kalimantan, H. Muhidin, called this province a se piece of heaven in Borneo' which is rich in natural resources. The article in this book also highlights the unique potential of South Kalimantan, such as Floating Market, Intan Martapura Gemerlap, and Haul Abah Guru Sekumpul.

This book is planned to be submitted to President Prabowo Subianto at the peak of the 2025 HPN in Banjarmasin, February 9. In addition, books will also be distributed to ministers, academics, and PWI administrators throughout Indonesia.
