Good News Comes From Aceh, 100 Of Its Citizens Have Recovered From COVID-19

JAKARTA - As many as 100 Aceh province residents were reported to have recovered from coronavirus infection on Sunday, bringing the total number of patients who have been free from the virus reaching 8.650.

"We are very grateful for many patients who recover every day, but the addition of daily positive confirmation cases should also receive attention", said Aceh COVID-19 spokesman Saifullah Abdulgani in Banda Aceh, reported by Antara, Sunday, April 19.

Data from the Aceh Health Service said that the number of additional recovered patients was Banda Aceh 68 people, Aceh Besar 16 people, Aceh Tamiang three people, Langsa residents, Bener Meriah and East Aceh two people each, Central Aceh, West Aceh, and Subulussalam one people and four other people from outside the Aceh area.

In addition, there were also 43 new positive cases, including 13 people in Banda Aceh, six in Aceh Besar, four in Bireuen and Aceh Tamiang.

Furthermore, there are three residents of Pidie and Central Aceh regencies, East Aceh, Gayo Lues, and Nagan Raya two each, one Langsa and three other residents from outside Aceh.

"Today it was reported that one citizen died who came from Lhokseumawe City", he said.

The cumulative cases of COVID-19 in the Tanah Rencong area have reached 10.300 people, including 8.650 survivors who have recovered, 1.243 patients who are still being treated, and 407 cases of COVID-19 who have died.

He explained that every time one new positive case was added, there was a chance that four new cases would emerge from the results of tracing his close contacts made by medical personnel.

Therefore, he asked for the need for community and health worker cooperation in dealing with the phenomenon of coronavirus transmission. It is not enough to just rely on the role of health workers, because the transmission of the coronavirus is moving faster.

He said it was very important to discipline yourself and your family to protect yourself and your family by wearing masks, washing your hands, keeping your physical distance away from crowds, and limiting mobility and interactions with other people.
