Visiting Kemayoran Fire Victims, Vice President Gibran Distributes Basic Food

JAKARTA - Vice President (Wapre) Gibran Rakabuming Raka visited residents affected by the fire on Jalan Kemayoran Gempol RT 05 RW 06, Kebon Blank Village, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, today Friday, January 17.

The vice president arrived at the location of the fire and immediately greeted residents at the evacuation site and continued to distribute food packages, mineral water, milk, cleaning equipment, and baby diapers.

Kegiatan kemudian dilanjutkan dengan melakukan prayer Jumat bersama warga setempat di Masjid At Taqwa, Kemayoran. Setelahnya, Wapres kembali ke lokasi pengungkapan untuk membagikan buku kepada anak-anak.

On this occasion, the Vice President said the government was committed to attending and providing quick handling of disasters.

The Vice President said that the relevant parties would immediately carry out rehabilitation, reconstruction, and restoration of community activities. The Vice President also emphasized the importance of coordination and transparency, especially to ensure that the handling runs quickly and on target.

Meanwhile, from the community side, the Vice President appealed to the need for high vigilance from residents to maintain the security of settlements from things that triggered a fire, such as an electrical short circuit and the explosion of gas cylinders.

Head of Kebon Blank Village, Alfalast Susetyo Dewanto, said that the Vice President's visit to Kemayoran was a form of government presence in the community.

"Earlier, I heard that the Vice President directly had a dialogue with the public. Getting a lot of information by the Vice President, which the Vice President might immediately follow up. Yes, mainly it is still related to the needs of the residents," said Alfalast.

As for the fire that occurred in a densely populated residential area in Kebon Blank Village, Kemayoran occurred on Wednesday, January 15 morning, causing dozens of building objects to be scorched and 119 people from 45 families had to lose their homes.
