Budi Arie Tepis Jokowi's Issues Meet Sultan HB X For Mediation To Meet Megawati

JAKARTA - Chairman of Pro-Jokowi (Projo) Budi Arie Setiadi said the meeting of Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X and the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo in Yogyakarta was filled with discussions on national unity.

Budi Arie also invited all parties to welcome the meeting.

The point is that all discussions, all national unity, all those who want to unite this nation are positive. We have to welcome positively, because this nation needs unity," Budi Arie said in response to reporters' questions when he was met on the sidelines of his activities in Jakarta, Friday.

Regarding the issue of Jokowi's request for Sultan HB X to become a mediator to bring together the Chairperson of the PDI-P and the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia Megawati Soekarnoputri with Jokowi, Budi Arie denied this.

"No. No. We support all efforts to unite this nation," continued Budi Arie.

Joko Widodo met with Yogyakarta Governor Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X at the Kilen Palace, Yogyakarta, Wednesday, January 15. After the meeting, the Sultan denied his meeting with Jokowi about politics.

"No (political discussion). Just private," said Sultan HB X.

Sultan continued his meeting with Jokowi also in the context of friendship.

Regarding the content of the meeting, the Sultan was reluctant to reveal it to the public because of his personal nature.

"Yes, it can't be (disclosed) really. Wong is private. Yes, I don't want to have any comments. Yes, just stay in touch," said Sultan HB X.
