TANGERANG - The perpetrator of the robbery of the Shell Bintaro gas station on Jalan Moh Husni Thamrin, Pondok Aren, South Tangerang (Tangsel) has been arrested. This was also confirmed by Kompol Muhibbur Rahman Al Anwari.

"It's true that he was arrested," said Muhibbur when confirmed, Thursday, January 16.

Muhibbur said that currently the perpetrators were taken to the Pondok Aren Police Headquarters for further investigation.

When asked further about the chronology until the time of the arrest of the perpetrator. Because further investigation is still being carried out.

Kasubbid Penmas Bidhumas Polda Metro Jaya, Kompol Bambang Askar Sodiq added that the perpetrator was arrested in the Bintaro area, Pondok Aren, South Tangerang, on Thursday, January 9.

Previously, the Shell Public Fuel Filling Station (SPBU) in the Pondok Aren area, South Tangerang was the target of a robbery using firearms. As a result of this incident, gas stations suffered losses of up to Rp. 60 million.

Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi said the incident occurred on Wednesday, January 1, at 03.00 WIB.

"Rp60 million in cash and one cell phone unit belonging to the Shell gas station employee were taken away by the perpetrator," said Ade Ary when confirmed, Thursday, January 2.

The incident began when the victim with the initials AF was inputting a report in the Shell gas station office room. Suddenly approached by the perpetrator in an online motorcycle taxi jacket (ojol). The perpetrator alone immediately pointed a firearm (senpi) at the victim.

"Directly to the office room. The perpetrator held the victim at gunpoint with a black gun and immediately asked for the key to the safe," he explained.

At gunpoint, the victim contacted one of his co-workers with the initials AH to bring the key to the money storage safe. When his colleague arrived, the perpetrator pointed a gun at the witness to immediately open the safe.

"The perpetrator ordered the witness and the victim to open the safe. Then the perpetrator asked to put the Rp60 million into his bag. The perpetrator also locked both of them in the safe room. Both of them shouted and were heard by other co-workers to be helped out of the room, the key was left by the perpetrator," he said.
