The Naval Military Police Center (Puspomal) has transferred the shooting case of a member of the Indonesian Navy to kill the car rental boss to the Military Oditur (Otmil) II-07 Jakarta.

The Commander of the Naval Military Police Center (Danpuspomal) Rear Admiral TNI Samista said the delegation was carried out because his party had completed an investigation into the case.

"Puspomal has carried out a series of marathon and rapid investigations into the murder case that occurred at the Rest Area Kilometer (KM) 45 Tangerang-Merak Toll Road," Samista said at a press conference in Jakarta, Wednesday, January 15, which was confiscated by Antara.

The delegation of case files was symbolically carried out by the Head of the General Crimes Section of the Bondan Marine Major's Puspomal Investigation Unit (PM) to the Otmil II-07 Jakarta Case Processing Section Officer Major Chk G. Rambe.

Samista conveyed that the submission of the criminal case file showed that the TNI was committed to law enforcement that was transparent and accountable for justice.

He mentioned from the results of several investigations, it was found that there was indeed a shooting at KM 45 carried out by unscrupulous members of the Indonesian Navy.

In the investigation process, he said, Puspomal had asked for information from 18 witnesses who happened to know about the incident.

Meanwhile, to complete the formal requirements, continued Samista, Puspomal investigators have also confiscated a number of evidences, including a black Daihatsu Sigra car, a pistol type firearm used to carry out the shooting, five bullet casings found in the parking area, victim's clothes, proof of transfer, and several other evidence.

After that, he said that his party had also carried out reconstruction to make the case clearer and clearer.

From the results of the examination of witnesses, suspects, and strengthened by evidence, he emphasized that the suspects arrested were quite proven to have committed the crime of murder.

"As regulated in Article 340 or Article 338 and Article 480 in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code (KUHP)," he said.

He also appreciated and expressed his gratitude for the cooperation and support from all parties, especially the ranks within the Navy, the Banten Police, the Tangerang Police, the mass media, and the families of the victims.

According to him, these various parties are willing to take the time to pay attention to the case so that Puspomal can solve the case quickly and transparently.

Previously, the shooting incident occurred at Rest Area KM 45, Tangerang-Merak Toll Road, Jayanti, Tangerang Regency, Banten, on Thursday, January 2.

In the incident there were two victims, namely the initials IAR and RAB. One of the two victims was the boss of the car rental who died after being hit by a bullet in his chest.

Then, on Friday, January 3, the police managed to secure rentals for rental cars, namely AS and IS in the Pandeglang area, Banten.

Following the arrest, the shooter who is a member of the Indonesian Navy has also been arrested by Navy Military Police (Pomal) personnel, namely the initials Sertu AA, Sertu RH, and KLK BA.

Of the three members of the Indonesian Navy who were arrested, they were colleagues and were said to have no specific role in the case.
