JAKARTA - A baby boy was found dead at the Sodetan Kali Grogol Jalan Jati Indah, Pondok Pinang, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta, Tuesday, January 14. The victim was found in a blue basket covered in leaves.

"His position in the basket is piled up with leaves," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Kebayoran Lama, AKP Ivo Amelia when confirmed, Wednesday, January 15.

"According to the new doctor, he was born for about 4 or 5 hours. Just born," he continued.

Ivo said, the incident began when the Public Infrastructure and Facilities Handling (PPSU) officers cleaned up trash in Sodetan Kali Kebayoran Lama. Officers saw a blue basket in which there was a lifeless baby boy.

There are piles of garbage taken by PPSU's duties. The garbage was chosen. So at that time he saw the baby's corpse, "explained Ivo.

After the body was evacuated to the hospital, the police examined a number of witnesses at the scene to reveal who the parents had the heart to throw the baby away.

"We have checked at the women's boarding houses. We have conducted an investigation. But the characteristics of people have not been found after giving birth. We have checked at the puskesmas, there is no data that has been pregnant in the last few months or has given birth. So it has not been found yet," he said.
