JAKARTA - The Constitutional Court confirmed that the candidate pair for governor and deputy governor of Central Java number 1 Andika Perkasa and Hendrar Prihadi (Andika-Hendi) withdrew the dispute over the results of the 2024 Central Java Regional Head Election (Pilkada) registered with Number 263/PHPU.GUB-XXIII/2025.
"With this confirmation, we convey that the Constitutional Court has administratively accepted the request for the withdrawal or withdrawal of 263 Cases for the PHPU (cases resulting from the general election) of the governor and deputy governor of Central Java," said Head of the Public Relations and Protocol Bureau of the Constitutional Court Pan Mohamad Faiz as reported by ANTARA, Monday, January 13.
Faiz explained that withdrawal of applications is commonplace and can be done for any case before the application is decided. This is as stipulated in Article 22 of the Constitutional Court Regulation Number 3 of 2024 concerning Procedures for Certificates in Dispute in the Results of the Election of the Governor, Regent, and Mayor.
"The application can be withdrawn, it is written or verbally at trial," he said.
According to Faiz, Andika-Hendi submitted a letter of revocation of the case to the Court on Monday afternoon. "According to the date of the request for the letter, it is on this date," he said.
The revocation of Andika-Hendi's application will be further confirmed in the case examination hearing which is planned to be held on Monday (20/1). In the trial of the examination of the case, the Constitutional Court will hear the information of the KPU as the respondent, related parties, and Bawaslu.
"Every request for revocation or withdrawal of the application will be confirmed by the panel of judges examining it. Including for the withdrawal of the PHPU application for the gubernatorial election in Central Java, it will be confirmed later in panel 1 by a panel of judges examining the case," he added.
The next trial, explained Faiz, should not be attended by Andika-Hendi as the principal applicant, considering that both have given power to the legal team.
Confirmed separately, Hendrar Prihadi alias Hendi confirmed that the candidate pair promoted by the PDI-P (PDIP) withdrew the dispute over the results of the 2024 Central Java Pilkada. However, Hendi was reluctant to reveal the reason his lawsuit was withdrawn.
"Langsung ke Pak Andika atau DPP PDIP saja. Satu pint informasinya," kata Hendi saat dihubungi ANTARA di Jakarta, Senin.
Previously, in the inaugural trial at the Constitutional Court, Thursday (9/1), Andika-Hendi asked the Constitutional Court to cancel the results of the Central Java Pilkada. Both also asked the Constitutional Court to disqualify candidate pair number 2 Ahmad Luthfi and Taj Yasin as elected candidate pairs for governor and deputy governor.

Andika-Hendi argued that there were indications of violations that were structured, systematic, and massive in the implementation of the 2024 Central Java Pilkada.
According to them, there are planning and actions of certain parties that benefit the pair Ahmad Luthfi-Taj Yasin.
One of the highlights of Andika-Hendi is the transfer of positions within the National Police, especially the Chief of Police in 15 districts/cities throughout Central Java. The mutation is believed to be correlated with the high vote acquisition of Ahmad Luthfi-Taj Yasin.
In addition, the Andika-Hendi camp mentioned intimidation of village heads since the campaign period with the mode of summoning by the police, as well as consolidation of village heads through the Village Head Association (PKD).
