JAKARTA - The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) responded to the issue of allegedly selling logistical assistance in the form of basic necessities at the evacuation post for victims of the eruption of Mount Lewotobi Laki, East Flores, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

One of them is the Instagram account @viralkupang.NTt, which in its upload states that there are residents who claim to be offered 50 kilograms of rice and eggs which are suspected of being aid items from the Ile Gerong Village Command Post, TiteTENa District, East Flores by the guards.
Deputy for Logistics and Equipment of BNPB, Lilik Kurniawan, said that the alleged sale of aid for disaster victims was not true. This is known according to a clarification from the East Flores Regency Government obtained by BNPB.
"There has been clarification from the Acting Regent (not true)," he said in Jakarta, Antara, Friday, January 10.
BNPB ensures that the overall handling of disaster victims in East Flores has been running as it should thanks to solid multi-party cooperation, including regarding basic needs assistance for refugees whose management is under the supervision of the local government.
Previously, the Head of the BNPB Disaster Data, Information and Communication Center, Abdul Muhari in his press statement also ensured that the emergency response phase to the recovery phase of the impact of the eruption disaster in East Flores which was currently underway was going well.
