JAKARTA - National Police Headquarters explained that one of the reasons for the suspected terrorist, Saiful Basri surrendered.

Head of Public Relations Division of the Police, Kombes Ahmad Ramadhan, said that the perpetrator was 'ashamed' because his identity had been widely known, so he decided to surrender to the Pasar Minggu Police.

"We conveyed that he surrendered because his identity was known by many people through social media as a DPO (People Search List)", he told reporters, Friday, April 16.

In the surrender process, said Ramadan, no suspicious items were found. However, based on the results of the examination he was Husein Hasni's group.

"We conveyed that he was involved in planning and learning about bomb-making, and participating in bomb training and experiments in the Ciampea area, Bogor", said Ramadhan.

In fact, he was also involved in the bomb-making process. This is because he provided some of the raw materials for making bombs.

"Then they found out about the remote purchase and prepared charcoal as an explosive", he said. Currently, Saiful Basri is temporarily entrusted to the Jakarta Metro Police detention center.

Previously, Saiful Basri surrendered to the Pasar Minggu Police on Thursday, April 15. He surrenders after being included in the Densus 88 Anti-terror wanted list.
