High Rainfall, 5 RTs In East Jakarta And West Jakarta Floods

JAKARTA - Heavy rains that occurred from Wednesday January 8 to Thursday January 9 in the Jakarta area and its surroundings again caused flooding in 5 RTs in West Jakarta and East Jakarta as well as 3 roads in West Jakarta.

According to data from the DKI Jakarta BPBD Pusdatin, flood inundation is still occurring in West Jakarta and East Jakarta.

A total of 3 roads are still flooded, namely Jalan Strategi Raya, Joglo Village, Kembangan District, West Jakarta. The water level reaches 35 cm.

Then on Jalan Bojong Raya, Rawa Buaya Village, Cengkareng District, West Jakarta, the water level reaches 10 cm. Furthermore, Jalan Kapuk Raya Gang Langgar, Kapuk Village, Cengkareng District with a height of 10 cm.

Head of the DKI Jakarta BPBD Data and Information Center, Mohamad Yohan, said that in addition to the three roads in West Jakarta, floods also hit 4 RTs in Kedaung Kali Angke Village and Kalideres Village, West Jakarta. Furthermore, 1 RT in the East Jakarta area.

"The four RTs consist of 3 RTs in Kedaung Kali Angke Village, floods as high as 25 cm and 1 other RT in Kalideres Village with a height of 30 cm. The cause is due to high rainfall," he said when confirmed by VOI, Thursday, December 9.

In addition to the 4 RTs that were flooded in West Jakarta, flood inundation also hit 1 RT in the Rawa Terate Village area, East Jakarta.

"In one RT, Rawa Terate Village, it is 35 cm high. The cause is due to high rainfall," he said. Meanwhile, the inundation on Jalan Basoka Raya, Joglo Village, Kembangan District, West Jakarta has receded.

"The DKI Jakarta BPBD is still mobilizing personnel to monitor inundation conditions in each region and coordinate the elements of the Natural Resources Service, Highways Office, Gulkarmat Service to carry out inundation suction and ensure that water lines function properly," he said.
