CENTRAL LOMBOK The heroic action was shown by Saudi Serda Ali Azhar, Babinsa, Pengenjek Village from Kodim 1620 Central Lombok, who managed to thwart an attempt to seize a motorcycle in Berembe Hamlet, Pengenjek Village, Tuesday night.

The commander of Koramil (Danramil) 1620-06/Joggat, Captain Inf Syaiful, said that this swift and swift action of Babinsa shows the importance of the role of the security forces in maintaining public order.

"Babinsa's actions prove a strong synergy between security forces and the community in creating a safe environment," said Syaiful, quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, January 8.

This incident began when the victim, M. Zenuri, a resident of Pengenjek Village, was stopped by two unknown people on a deserted street in Berembeng Hamlet at around 00.30 WITA. The two perpetrators, with the initials H (17) and W (19), tried to seize the victim's motorbike by threatening to use sharp weapons.

The panicked victim immediately screamed for help. Incidentally, Saudi Serda Ali Azhar, who was conducting routine patrols at night around the location, heard the screams. swiftly, he came to the source of the sound, confronted the perpetrators, and managed to paralyze the two of them.

After being secured, the two perpetrators along with evidence in the form of sharp weapons and motorbikes were immediately handed over to the Jonggat Police for further investigation.

Babinsa's quick action received appreciation from the residents of Berembeng Hamlet. They feel safer and increasingly believe in the presence of Babinsa as a protector of the community.

"It is hoped that similar incidents will not happen again, and the public remains vigilant against potential criminal threats," added Captain Inf Syaiful.
