Wamenkop: Kopdes In Line With Margono Djodjohadikusumo's Thoughts

Deputy Minister of Cooperatives Ferry Juliantono said the vision of establishing 80,000 Red and White Village Cooperatives (Kopdes) was in line with Margono Djodjohadikusumo's thoughts who was recognized as one of the founders of the Pancasila Economic system in Indonesia.

"Mr Margono Djodjohadikusumo is a formulator of the planned universe development plan, village development and cooperatives are involved in the industry from upstream to downstream," said Ferry as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, June 20.

Ferry added that Margono Djodjohadikusumo is one of the founders of the Pancasila Economic system's thinking, which is in line with the spirit of Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution.

"Of course Pak Margono was with Bung Hatta at that time," he said.

According to him, Margono is the figure who laid the foundation for the importance of village-based development. In the concept of the village economy he initiated, economic democracy emerged in the community, especially in rural areas, through cooperatives.

"All thoughts from Margono Djodjohadikusumo are contained in our constitutional manuscript and the pattern of plans for a planned universe development. From there, village development began," said Ferry as well.

In this plan, the main ideas of thinking about building an inclusive economy and finance have been placed.

Ferry explained that Margono Djodjohadikusumo's "red flash" was then continued by his son, Sumitro Djodjohadikusumo, one of the founders of the Main Cooperative for Civil Servants.

Kini, putra Sumitro, yaitu Presiden Prabowo Subianto, melanjutkan warisan ini dengan program strategis Kopdes Merah Putih.

Sebagai Koordinator Ketua Pelaksana Harian Satgas Percepatan Pembentukan Kopdes/Kel Merah Putih, Ferry menjelaskan, inisiatif ini merupakan wujud nyata sinergi lintas kementerian dn lembaga serta pemerintah daerah.

Upaya ini dilandasi oleh Instruksi Presiden Nomor 9 Tahun 2025 dan Keputusan Presiden Nomor 9 Tahun 2025.

"Presiden Prabowo Subianto ingin koperasi menjadi solusi nyata di desa untuk mengurangi kemiskinan, menghapus praktik rentenir, menyediakan lapangan kerja, dan memperkuat ekonomi rakyat dari akar rumput," ujarnya.

Now, Sumitro's son, President Prabowo Subianto, continues this legacy with the Red and White Kopdes strategic program.

As the Coordinator for the Daily Executive of the Task Force for the Acceleration of the Establishment of the Red and White Kopdes/Kel, Ferry explained, this initiative is a tangible manifestation of the synergy between ministries and local institutions.

This effort is based on Presidential Instruction Number 9 of 2025 and Presidential Decree Number 9 of 2025.

"President Prabowo Subianto wants cooperatives to be a real solution in villages to reduce poverty, eliminate moneylender practices, provide jobs, and strengthen people's economies from grassroots," he said.
