The Cinangka Police Chief Transferred After Rejecting Reports Of Rental Owners Shot In Toll Rest Areas

The Head of Public Relations of the Banten Police, Kombes Didik Hariyanto, confirmed that the Banten Police Chief Inspector General Suyudi Ario Seto had transferred the Head of the Cinangka Police, AKP Asep Iwan Kurniawan, after rejecting the report from the shooting victim who was about to pull his car at the KM 45 rest area, Tangerang-Merak Toll Road.

Asep and his two members, Brigadier DA and Bripka DI, were transferred in the context of examining the Banten Police Bidpropam regarding the alleged unprofessionalism in carrying out their duties, to the Banten Police Headquarters Service (Yanma) section.

"The Banten Police Chief has firmly followed up on alleged violations committed by the Cinangka Police Chief and two other members related to allegations of unprofessionalism in carrying out their duties," said Didik as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, January 7.

The mutation was based on the Banten Police Chief's Telegram Letter Number: ST/26/I/KEP./2025 dated January 7, 2025, regarding the Transfer of personnel within the Banten Police.

Didik emphasized that the Banten Police Chief Inspector General Suyudi Ario Seto was committed to taking firm action against personnel who committed violations.

"After the commitment of the Banten Police Chief, Inspector General Suyudi Ario Seto, that he will always prioritize the implementation of duties professionally and will take firm action against Banten Police personnel if they are proven to have committed violations," said Didik.

Previously, an unknown shooting incident occurred in the KM45 rest area, Tangerang-Merak Toll Road, Jayanti, Tangerang Regency, Banten, in the early hours of Thursday (2/1).

Due to this incident, there were two people who became victims, namely the initials IAR and RAB. One of the two victims is the car rental boss who has now been declared dead after being hit by a bullet in his chest.
