Police Hunt For Perpetrators Of The Stabbing Of Former Honorary DLHK Pekanbaru Who Fired Senpi

PekanbarU - Pekanbaru City Police, Riau, is hunting for the perpetrator of the stabbing who also fired firearms into the air at a former honorary officer of the Pekanbaru Environment and Forestry Service (DLHK).

Head of the Pekanbaru Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Kompol Bery Juana Putra, said the identity of the perpetrator is not yet known and is still in the process of being investigated. His party also continues to investigate the whereabouts of the firearms allegedly used by the perpetrators during the incident.

"We are still investigating this case, including the identity of the perpetrator and the firearms used," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, January 7.

The stabbing victim on Jalan Hang Tuah, Pekanbaru on Monday (6/1) was identified as Ferdinal. The victim suffered two stab wounds to the buttocks and has received treatment at Santa Maria Hospital Pekanbaru.

The police are still waiting for the results of the post-mortem from the hospital as part of the investigation.

"The victim had received help to treat his wounds and only made a report today," said Kompol Bery.

The victim was found to have been stabbed by two unknown people (OTK) while asking for a garbage bill. Witness named Aris (61) said the victim was stabbed repeatedly by an unknown person before firing into the air.

Aris explained that the incident began when the victim was taking evidence of receipts. Suddenly another motorbike came, and the perpetrator without talking stabbed the victim in the back twice.

An angkot driver named Andrian also almost became a victim of the attack by two gunmen while trying to help the man who was stabbed. Andrian stated that the perpetrator had claimed to be a member, whether it was a member of the TNI or Polri.
