West Java Residents Can Check Free Health At The Puskesmas Starting February 3rd

BANDUNG - The West Java Provincial Government plans to start on February 3, 2025, residents can conduct free health checks at the Community Health Center (Puskesmas) around their domicile.

Acting Governor of West Java Beyxi Machmudin revealed that the technical free health check, which is a program of President Prabowo's administration, the public only needs to bring an identity card (KTP or KIA for children) to get services.

"So far it is still coordination, but it is planned for February 3, 2025 (to start). Technically, it is more or less adjusted to the ID card. So for example, the Puskesmas are residents around Mount Sate, yes, in the village where the Puskesmas is," said Bey after Rapim at the Sate building in Bandung, reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, January 7.

Bey emphasized that the free health check program according to the date of birth as a birthday gift to this community must be carried out in all Puskesmas in West Java.

"We hope that in all Puskesmas, there is not only one. In other provinces, only one city and in one Puskesmas. So there is a long queue," he said.

Regarding the budget prepared for this program, Bey said that the West Java Provincial Government did not budget from the APBD, because this program has all been borne by the 2025 APBN budget which reached Rp3.2 trillion.

"There is no (Provincial) budget for this medical check up," he said.

Based on information compiled by ANTARA, the examination at this Puskesmas is not only a blood pressure check, but a basic health check that includes 14 diseases.

In fact, especially for women in the free medical check-up program, they will get an examination service for women's diseases, such as breast cancer and uterine neck cancer.

Free medical check-up facilities will be provided based on the age group of the community, ranging from toddlers, teenagers, adults, to the elderly.
