Narcotics Lab Case In Kuta Bali, 2 Ukrainian Citizens Sued For Life In Prison

DENPASAR - Badung District Prosecutor's Public Prosecutor, Bali, has demanded that two Ukrainian citizens Ivan Volovod and Mykyta Volovod be jailed for life in connection with laboratory cases and drug factories in Tibubeneng, North Kuta, Badung.

"Demanding that the panel of judges declare the defendant legally and convincingly guilty of committing a criminal act as the first primary indictment," Ramdhoni said at the trial at the Denpasar District Court, Tuesday, January 7.

The prosecutor in his indictment assessed the actions of the defendants as regulated and threatened with crime in Article 113 Paragraph (2) Juncto Article 132 Paragraph (1) related to conspiracy without rights or against the law of producing, importing, exporting or distributing narcotics class I.

Both of them are considered not to support the government's program in eradicating narcotics and being involved in international drug networks. The mitigating thing is that both of them were polite during the trial.

The trial will continue with the agenda of reading a memorandum of defense (pledoi) on January 14, 2025.
