Today's KKEP Trial Results, Two Police Sanctioned With 5 Years Of Demotion

JAKARTA - The Police Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP) session for two suspected DW and RP violators has been completed. Both were found guilty in the case of extorting the 2024 Djakarta Warehouse Project (DWP) audience. Thus, they were sentenced to a five-year demotion.

Based on ST/429/XII/KEP.2024, the police with the initials DW are known to be Brigadier Dwi Wicaksono and RP is Bripka Ready Pratama. They are members of the Directorate of Drug Investigation of the Metro Jaya Police.

"The mutation has been a demonstration for five years outside the function of law enforcement or detective," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Public Relations Division Kombes Erdi Adrimulan Chaniago, Tuesday, January 7.

In the decision of the KKEP trial, the two police officers were also sentenced to special placement in the Patsus Bureauprovos Divpropam Polri room for 30 days, starting from December 27, 2024 to January 25, 2025.

Then, he was also sanctioned with ethics in the form of a verbal apology before the KKEP trial and it was written to the leadership of the National Police.

"The obligation of violators to take part in spiritual, mental, and professional knowledge training for one month," said Erdi.

Erdi said that a series of sanctions were given because both of them were considered proven to be involved in a series of acts of extortion against DWP spectators.

It is known, in the extortion action, Malaysian and Indonesian citizens became victims. Based on data from the National Police Propam, extortion proceeds reached Rp. 2.5 billion.

"On the decision, the violator declared an appeal," said Erdi.

Previously, nine police officers had also been tried ethically. They are Kombes Donald Parlaungan Simanjuntak, AKP Yudhy Triananta Syaeful, AKBP Malvino Edward Yusticia who was sentenced to dishonorable dismissal or dismissal (PTDH).

Then, Kompol Dzul Fadlan, Iptu SM, and S were sanctioned for 8 years. Meanwhile, Brigadier FRS, Aiptu Armadi July Marasi Gultom and Bripka Wahyu Tri Haryanto were sentenced to 5 years of demotion.
