Perpetrators Of Persecution In Cipinang Melayu, East Jakarta Arrested, Police Say Perpetrators And Victims Get To Know Each Other

JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Makassar Police managed to arrest the perpetrator of the stabbing that killed a victim on Jalan H Sulaiman, Cipinang Melayu, Makasar District, East Jakarta.

"One perpetrator with the initials LVO has been arrested along with evidence of a sharp machete type weapon," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Makassar Police, AKP Bayu when confirmed by VOI, Tuesday, January 7, 2025.

Currently, the perpetrator has been named a suspect and further development.

"The victim died and the perpetrator knew each other," he said.

Investigators are still investigating the stabbing suspect with the initials LVO.

"While we are still investigating if there are other perpetrators. The motive is because of an argument related to the previous problem," he said.

For his actions, the suspect LVO was charged with Article 351 paragraph (3) with a maximum threat of 7 years in prison.

Previously, it was reported that two groups of teenagers were involved in a commotion on Jalan H Sulaiman, Cipinang Melayu, Makasar District, East Jakarta.

One man died as a result of being stabbed in the commotion. The commotion led to the persecution being triggered by an argument with the perpetrator first.

The persecution took place on Sunday, January 5, 2025, morning at around 04.30 WIB.

At that morning, the victim and his colleague returned home after attending another colleague's wedding party in the Tanah Galian area, Cipinang Melayu, Makasar District.

Then, the group of victims passed by several people on Jalan H Sulaiman. The victim then reprimanded other groups regarding the beatings on November 20, 2024.

However, the group of perpetrators did not know about the incident, resulting in a commotion between them.

Then the victim died as a result of being mistreated by a teenager and covered in blood. The victim was taken to Harum Hospital, East Jakarta, but his life could not be saved.
