Panja Approves Hajj Fees Of IDR 89.4 Million Per Congregation, Down IDR 4 Million From Last Year

Chairman of the Working Committee (Panja) for the Hajj Implementation Fee (BPIH) Commission VIII of the DPR Abdul Wachid stated that his party approved the 2025/1446 H Hajj fee of Rp. 89,410.258.79 or Rp. 89.4 million per congregation.

This cost decreased by IDR 4 million compared to last year's IDR 93,410,286.

"Based on the results of the discussion of the Panja regarding the costs of Hajj in 1446/2025, it has been agreed as follows. The exchange rate exchange rate of Rupiah against the US and Saudi Arabia used as the basis for calculating the hajj costs is 1 USD amounting to Rp. 16 thousand SAR value of Rp. 4,266.67

"2 total of Indonesian Hajj in 1446 Hijriyah/2025 as many as 221,000," said Abdul Wachid, Monday, January 6.

"With details of the 203,320 regular Hajj quota, consisting of 201,063 pure regularities for pilgrims, 1,572 regional Hajj officers, and 685 congregations for the guidance group for Hajj and Umrah or KBIHU.

"The special hajj quota is 17,680 in accordance with the provisions of article 64 paragraph 2 of Law number 8 of 2019 concerning the implementation of the pilgrimage and Umrah," he continued.

Wachid said, based on the amount of BPIH in the implementation of the Hajj in 1446 Hijriyah or 2025, it was agreed that it would be IDR 89,410,258.79. Down IDR 4 million compared to 2024.

"Once again 89,410,258.79 rupiah. This figure has decreased compared to 2024, amounting to Rp. 4,000,027.21," said Wachid.

Previously, the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) had re-proposed the Hajj Implementation Fee (BPIH) for 2025 amounting to IDR 89,666,469.26.

"For BPIH, after we studied its rationality, service quality and of course its efficiency, we are currently proposing Rp. 89,666,469.26," said Director General (Dirjen) of Hajj and Umrah Implementation of the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) Hilman Latief in a meeting with the Working Committee (Panja) for Hajj Fees Commission VIII DPR, Monday, January 6.

Of the amount of BPIH, the fee charged to each congregation or the 2025 Hajj Travel Fee (Bipih) is IDR 55,593,201.57 or 62 percent of BPIH.

Meanwhile, the fee paid from the value of the benefits was IDR 34,073,267.69 or 38 percent of BPIH. Hilman said the decrease in the budget still refers to the exchange rate of IDR 16,000 and the Riyal of Saudi Arabia amounting to IDR 4,266.67.
