Kompolnas Reveals The Role Of Kompol Dzul, Police Controlling Audience DWP 2024

JAKARTA Commissioner of Kompolnas, Choirul Anam, revealed the important role of an intermediate officer (pamen) of the National Police with the initials D in the case of extortion of the 2024 Djakarta Warehouse Project (DWP) audience. The officer, known as Kompol Dzul Fadlan, is in control of the series of events.

"He has an important role in the structure of this incident. He is one of the people who has control over the latest incident," Anam told reporters, Thursday, January 2.

Kompol Dzul Fadlan, who previously served as Kanit 5 Sub-Directorate 2 of the Narcotics Directorate of the Metro Jaya Police, has undergone a trial of the Police Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP) and was sentenced to 8 years of demotion. This demonstration means a decrease in office to a lower position, including a demotion.

"The fourth trial has been completed with a demonstration decision of 8 years," added Anam. Apart from Kompol Dzul Fadlan, three other police officers, namely Kombes Donald Parlaungan Simanjuntak, AKP Yudhy Triananta Syaeful, and AKBP Malvino Edward Yusticia, have been found guilty of disgraceful acts. They were sentenced to dishonorable dismissal or dismissal (PTDH). However, the three of them appealed against the decision.

The Head of the Propam Police Division, Inspector General Abdul Karim, previously revealed that 18 police officers were involved in the extortion. They have been placed in the Propam Division of the National Police Headquarters for further handling.

"A total of 18 people have now been placed in special placements at the Propam Headquarters Div," said Abdul Karim.

The extortion action targeted 45 foreign nationals (WNA) from Malaysia and a number of Indonesian citizens. Based on the findings of the National Police Propam, the total money extorted by dozens of police officers reached Rp. 2.5 billion.

"The evidence that we have secured is Rp. 2.5 billion. So we need to straighten out the news which previously mentioned a bigger number," explained Abdul Karim.
