The Head of Public Relations of the Lampung Police, Kombes Umi Fadillah Astutik, confirmed that the wild elephant attack occurred in the early hours of Monday which resulted in the death of one of the residents in BNS.
"Yes, this incident took place in the TNBBS forest register area, precisely in Blog 3 of Talang Badar Village," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, December 30.
He explained that the wild elephant attack resulted in the victim's death in a pathetic condition.
According to him, a joint team from the police, TNI, and the TNBBS management are currently still at the location to evacuate and deepen the cause of the incident.
