In Addition To Buying Rolex Watches, Cars, And Land, Edhy Prabowo Used Bribes For His Street Asphalt And In-Laws Parking Lot

JAKARTA - Edhy Prabowo is accused of accepting bribes worth Rp25 billion related to the granting of export permits while minister of marine affairs and fisheries. This money is used by Edhy for various purposes.

In addition to buying luxury goods such as roulette clocks, cars, bicycles to luxury bags, this money is also used by Edhy to pave the streets and parking lots of his in-laws in Bogor, West Java.

This was revealed when the KPK Prosecutor's team read out Edhy Prabowo's indictment at the Central Jakarta Tipikor Court, Thursday, April 15.

Prosecutors detailed that, in August 2020, October 2020 and November 13, 2020, Edhy Prabowo through Amiril Mukminin made a payment totaling Rp550 million. This money as a cost of felling trees with an area of 800m2.

Then, area mapping and landscape measurement, soil loss, soil compaction, making a fence as high as 3 meters round.

"And paving roads and parking lots in the Defendant's In-laws House in Pasir Maung Village Cijayanti Babagan Madang Bogor Regency," said prosecutor KPK.

Then, still through Amiril Mukmini, Edhy paid the apartment rent of Rp70 million. This Apartment Unit in Signature Park Grande Cawang Tower Delight is then occupied by Anggia Tesalonika Kloer who is her private secretary.

Not only Anggia, Edhy also pays the rent of an apartment in Menteng Park Cikin Raya Tower Saphire. At that time, through Amiril, he paid rp80 million which was then occupied by Putri Elok Sekar Sari.

In addition to the apartment, the former Gerindra Party politician also paid a down payment on the purchase of a unit of black HRV car. This purchase was made in October 2020.

Edhy paid Rp352,086,000 as a down payment from a car that cost Rp414 million. This purchase was made through Amiril Mukminin and the car was named after one of its staff, Ainul Faqih before it was finally used by Anggia Tesalonika Kloer.

Previously reported, through his staff, Amiril Mukminin and Safri, Edhy Prabowo is said to have received bribes of up to 77 thousand U.S. dollars. This money comes from the owner of PT Dua Putera Perkasa Pratama (PT DPP), Suharjito.

In addition, he also received Rp24,625,587,250 from Suharjito and other exporters whose receipts were made by his staff.

"It should be suspected that the gift or promise was given to move to do or not do something in his office," said the KPK Prosecutor in a hearing held at the Jakarta Tipikor Court, Thursday, April 15.

The granting of this money was done so that Edhy through his men, Andreau Misanta Pribadi and Safri accelerated the approval process of lobster cultivation permits and lobster seed export permits of Suharjito company and other exporters.

With the receipt of the bribe money, Edhy was charged with violating Article 11 of Law No. 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Corruption Crimes as amended by Law No. 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law No. 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Corruption Crimes jo Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code jo Article 65 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.
