JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) reminded regional heads including newly elected in the 2020 regional elections to continue to innovate. Jokowi asked the regional head to prioritize the results of achievements, not just carrying out routines.

"The position given to you is an honor but also a great responsibility, a heavy responsibility. Therefore do not let this blood just follow the existing procedure must be goal-oriented, must be result oriented, the orientation is the result. must dare to innovate instead of just following a routine. Be careful of this," Jokowi said at an online coordination meeting of regional heads on Wednesday, April 14.

The head of the region must work with high fatigue. Jokowi reminded not only satisfied to read the report from the field but jumped directly to check the condition of the field.

"Innovation, speed, policy accuracy are urgently needed right now," he continued.

In order for the program to be effective, regional heads are required to make policies with a measurable priority scale. That way, budget allocation can also be optimized.

Jokowi also urged that the budget in the region be prioritized for infrastructure development. Jokowi does not want the budget for the apparatus to be larger than the development program.
