While Acting As Army Chief Of Staff, General Maruli Provides Decent Facilities For Soldiers

JAKARTA - Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General TNI Maruli Simanjuntak admitted that he had provided proper facilities in the form of transportation for operational needs to housing for his soldiers. This is the result of self-help devoted to Indonesian Army soldiers.

"Every year in December 2024, I served as Kasad, until today we have succeeded in self-helping 250 cars, repairing 2,202 heavily damaged houses, and repairing member training facilities throughout Indonesia," Maruli said in an official TNI AD press release received by ANTARA in Jakarta, Monday, December 16.

Maruli said that the provision of proper facilities was carried out so that TNI AD soldiers could serve optimally in defending the country's sovereignty.

In addition, he assessed that the provision of proper facilities for soldiers was part of his responsibility as Army Chief of Staff.

"Without the cohesiveness of the members, the results of this performance will not be achieved. In fact, if we total including self-help from Denma, Kodam, and Korem, we have repaired around 2,300 to 2,400 heavily damaged houses," Maruli explained.

Even most recently, his party again provided operational facilities to soldiers in the form of 44 vehicles consisting of 39 official vehicles and 5 water tankers with a capacity of 3,000 and 1,500 liters.

The vehicles were given to several units, including Kostrad, Kodiklatad, Secapa, Ditkuad, Pusbekangad, Pussenif, Disinfolahtad, Dispenad, Dislaikad, Pussansiad, Ditkumad, Denmabesad, and the ranks of the Indonesian Army Military Command.

Maruli hopes that the provision of proper facilities can pump up the spirit of soldiers in carrying out their duties to defend the country.

He also hopes that this year's achievements can become a new standard that can be passed in the following year.

"If we are consistent, by renovating 2,000 houses and 200 Koramils every year, I believe in the next 3-5 years we can solve many basic needs of members," Maruli explained.
