15 Defendants Of Extortion Of KPK Detention Center Sentenced To 4-5 Years In Prison

A total of 15 defendants in the alleged illegal levies (extortion) or extortion of detainees at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in the 2019 '2023 period were sentenced to 4 years to 5 years in prison.

"It is legally and convincingly proven guilty of committing a criminal act of corruption together and continuing," said Chairman of the Panel of Judges at the Maryono Corruption Court at the Jakarta Corruption Court, reported by ANTARA, Friday, December 13.

In the case of alleged extortion or extortion of detainees at the KPK branch detention center, the 15 defendants were suspected of committing extortion worth Rp. 6.38 billion in the 2019-2023 period.

Extortion was carried out by the defendants at three KPK branch detention centers, namely the KPK detention center at Pomdam Jaya Guntur, the KPK detention center in the C1 building, and the KPK detention center in the Merah Putih building (K4). From each KPK branch detention center, the extortion collected is worth Rp. 80 million per month.

The actions were carried out with the aim of enriching the 15 defendants, namely enriching Deden worth IDR 399.5 million, Hengki IDR 692.8 million, Ristanta IDR 137 million, Eri IDR 100.3 million, Sopian IDR 322 million, Achmad IDR 19 million, Agung IDR 91 million, and Ari IDR 29 million.

Furthermore, enriching Ridwan Rp160.5 million, Mahdi Rp96.6 million, Suharlan Rp103.7 million, Ricky Rp116.95 million, Wardoyo Rp72.6 million, Abduh Rp94.5 million, and Ramadan Rp135.5 million.

As for the details of the verdicts of the 15 defendants in the alleged illegal levy case, namely:

1. Head of the 2018 KPK Detention Center Branch Deden Rochendi was sentenced to 5 years in prison, a fine of Rp250 million, subsidiary to 6 months in prison, and a replacement money of Rp398 million, subsidiary to 1.5 years in prison; 2. Head of KPK Security and Order (Kamtib) for the 2018 2022 hengki period was sentenced to 5 years in prison, fines of Rp250 million, subsidiary to 6 months in prison, and replacement money of Rp419,600,000 subsidiary to 1.5 years in prison; 3. Acting (Plt) Head of the 2021 Ristanta KPK Detention Center Branch was sentenced to 4 years in prison, fines of Rp250 million, subsidiary to Rp250 million. 6 months, as well as replacement money of Rp. 136 million, subsidiary of 1 year in prison; 4. Head of the KPK Detention Center Branch for the period 2022 2024 Achmad Fauzi was sentenced to 4 years in prison, a fine of Rp. 250 million, subsidiary to 6 months in prison, and replacement money of Rp. 34 million, subsidiary to 6 months in prison; 5. KPK Detention Center officer Eri Angga Permana was sentenced to 4 years in prison with a fine of Rp. 200 million, subsidiary to 4 months, and replacement money of Rp. 94,300,000 subsidiary 6 months;6. KPK Rutan Officer Agung Nugroho was sentenced to 4 years in prison with a fine of Rp. 200 million, subsidiary to 4 month, as well as replacement money of Rp56 million, subsidiary 6 months; 7. KPK Rutan Officer Ari Rahman Hakim was sentenced to 4 years in prison with a fine of Rp. 200 million, subsidiary to 4 months; 8. KPK Detention Center Officer Sopian Hadi was sentenced to 4 years in prison with a fine of Rp. 200 million, subsidiary to 4 months, as well as replacement money of Rp. 317 million, subsidiary to 1.5 years; 9. KPK Detention Center Officer Muhammad Ridwan was sentenced to 4 years in prison with a fine of Rp. 200 million, subsidiary to 6 months, as well as replacement money of Rp. 159,500,000 subsidiary to 8 months; 10. KPK Rutan Officer Mahdi Aris sentenced to 4 years in prison with a fine of Rp. 200 million, subsidiary to 6 months, as well as replacement money of Rp. 96,200,000 subsidiary 6 months; 11. KPK Rutan officer Suharlan was sentenced to 4 years in prison with a fine of Rp. 200 million, subsidiary to 6 months, and replacement money of Rp. 103,400,000 subsidiary to 8 months;12. KPK Rutan Officer Ricky Rachmawanto was sentenced to 4 years in prison with a fine of Rp. 200 million, subsidiary to 6 months, as well as replacement money of Rp. 116,450,000 subsidiary to 8 months; 13. KPK Wardoyo Detention Center officers were sentenced to 4 years in prison with a fine of Rp. 200 A million subsidiary of 6 months, as well as a replacement money of Rp71,150,000. 6 months in prison; 14.
