Explosion At Pertamina Pondok Bambu Gas Station Occurs When Employees Are Filled With Pertalite In A Car

The explosion that occurred at the Pondok Bambu gas station, Jalan Pahlawan Revolution, Pondok Bambu, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta, occurred when the gas station operator was filling Pertalite fuel in a car.

"Another incident occurred when the Pertalite (fuel) was cast, filled with car gas. Then it immediately exploded, immediately ran there (while pointing towards). Immediately exploded, the fire broke out," said Renaldi, one of the gas station officers to reporters, Thursday, December 12, evening.

The explosion was heard suddenly and followed by sparks.

As a result of the explosion, one female employee suffered burns to both palms and faces.

In addition, the explosion occurred during the operational hours of refueling.

"When the incident was crowded again, someone filled with gasoline. When it exploded, there was a car 2 there. The driver immediately fled, going forward," he said.

"Alhamdulillah, the car is safe. Only the officers (injured)," he added.

The exact cause of the explosion at the gas station is not yet known. Duren Sawit Police officers are still examining a number of witnesses.

Pascaledakan, gas station activity was also temporarily suspended. The police have also installed a yellow line for investigation purposes.

Meanwhile, the case is being handled by the Duren Sawit Police.

Previously, it was reported that the explosion occurred at Pondok Bambu public refueling station (SPBU), Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta, Thursday, December 12, evening.

The incident occurred while the refueling activity (BBM) was ongoing.

As a result of the explosion, 1 gas station employee suffered burns due to sparks.
