Ukraine Attacks Russian Port In Azov

JAKARTA - Ukraine attacked a southern Russian port in the Azov Sea with missiles. The attack also sparked a fire at an oil depot in the western Bryansk region with drones.

The extent of damage and weapons used in the attack on the port remains unclear, although Russia has repeatedly warned that the use of US ATACMS missiles at the border is a direct Western involvement and risks triggering a wider war.

As reported by Reuters on Wednesday, December 11, Kyiv said it attacked Russian energy facilities in retaliation for attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, which has crippled about half of Ukraine's available power generation capacity during the war, damaging distribution and causing power cuts.

Russia's Defense Ministry said air defense units destroyed 14 Ukrainian drones overnight in Bryansk bordering Ukraine.

Regional Governor Alexander Bogomaz said the unnamed production facility had caught fire.

The Ukrainian military said it caused a major fire at the oil depot.

Meanwhile, Russia's independent media ASTRA reported that the refinery was hit by an attack and showed a rising fire into the sky.
