JLS Kelok Sembilan Malang Terdepat Usai Rentak Dan Longsor

JAKARTA - The Kelok Sembilan Southern Line (JLS) in Panggungwaru Hamlet, Sumberoto Village, Malang Regency, East Java was cut off after experiencing cracks and landslides due to high-intensity rains that flushed the area.

"JLS Kelok Sembilan suffered damage, in the form of cracks and landslides. The impact is that the main access is completely closed and cannot be passed by vehicles," said Head of the Emergency and Logistics Division of the Malang Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Sadono Irawan.

BPBD estimates that the JLS Kelok Sembilan road that was damaged and collapsed was approximately 50 meters long.

Sadono stated that before experiencing damage and landslides, the local area was indeed experiencing moderate to high rain, from Tuesday (10/12) afternoon to early Wednesday morning.

"Rain with moderate to high intensity occurred from late afternoon to early Wednesday morning causing the Jalan JLS Kelok Sembilan landslides," he said.

Sadono stated that currently police officers from the Donomulyo Police have sterilized the location by installing a police line at the location.

The Malang Regency Government has also reported this incident to the National Road Planning and Supervision (P2JN) so that it can be handled as soon as possible.

"This report is to immediately follow up on the improvement of the national road. There are no casualties," he said.
