The National Police's Criminal Investigation Unit has delegated Panji Gumilang, who is a suspect in the alleged money laundering case (TPPU) to the Indramayu District Attorney's Office. The delegation was carried out after the case file for the head of the Al Zaytun Islamic Boarding School was declared complete.

"The Public Prosecutor's Team (JPU) at the Indramayu District Attorney has received the submission of suspects and evidence or phase two of the investigators from the Directorate of Special Economic Crimes (Dittipideksus) of the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit on behalf of the ARPG suspect on Monday 9 December," said Kapuspenkum AGO, Harli Siregar to reporters, Tuesday, December 10.

Furthermore, the prosecutor will immediately prepare an indictment for Panji Gumilang. Thus, the head of the Al Zaytun Islamic Boarding School can be tried immediately.

"The West Java High Prosecutor's Team and the Indramayu District Attorney's Team will immediately prepare an indictment," said Harli.

In this case, Panji Gumilang was charged with Article 70 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 5 of Law Number 16 of 2001 concerning Foundations as amended by Law Number 28 of 2004 concerning Amendments to Law Number 16 of 2001 concerning Foundations and Article 3 of Law Number 8 of 2010 concerning Prevention and Eradication of the Crime of Money Laundering.

As a reminder, Panji Gumilang is suspected of committing money laundering offenses by borrowing money from Bank J-trust on behalf of the Indonesian Islamic Boarding School Foundation (YPI). However, the money was actually used for personal gain worth IDR 73 billion.
