COVID-19 Update As Of April 13: 5,702 New Cases, 6,349 Recovered

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released additional positive cases of the latest COVID-19 as of today. A total of 77,522 specimens were examined with the result that there were 5,702 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was found in Indonesia reached 1,426,145 people and active cases of 108,599 cases", as quoted from the Ministry of Health data, Tuesday, April 13.

Cases recovered today increased by 6,349 cases, bringing the total to 1,426,145 people recovered. Then, the number of positive confirmation cases that died increased by 126 people and a total of 42,782 people.

The province with the newest cases was in West Java with 1,456 cases and a total of 261,504 cases. Followed by Central Java which has 859 new cases with a total of 175,316 cases. DKI Jakarta has 828 new cases and a total of 394,118 cases. Then, Riau has 253 new cases and a total of 37,394 cases.

The province with the most cured cases today belongs to Central Java with an increase of 1,952 cases recovered. Followed by West Java with an increase of 1,073cases recovered, DKI Jakarta with an increase of 900 cases recovered, and IN Yogyakarta with an increase of 231 cases recovered.

No province has reported any new cases today. Provinces reporting new cases under 10 are Papua, Southeast Sulawesi, Maluku, North Maluku, West Sulawesi, and West Nusa Tenggara.

Besides, the number of specimens examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 13,489,825.

"The positive result per number of specimens examined or positivity rate this week was 16.49 percent", they wrote.

For the number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspect cases, it is recorded at 58,450 people. Currently, 510 districts/cities from 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

There are currently 10,373,963 people vaccinated for the first dose of COVID-19 and 5,431,997 second-dose vaccinations. Meanwhile, the total vaccination target of phases 1 and 2 reached 40,349,051 people.
