Nagan Raya Police Arrest Man With 600 Grams Of Shabu In Aceh

NAGAN RAYA-Drug Investigation Unit (Satresnarkoba) Nagan Raya Police, Aceh, arrested a man with the initials Z (23), a resident of Seunagan District, for being caught storing 600 grams of methamphetamine.

"The suspect was arrested last Saturday last week at around 20.00 WIB in Babah Dua Village, Tadu Raya District, Nagan Raya," said Nagan Raya Police Narcotics Head, Iptu Very Syahputra, quoted from ANTARA, Sunday, December 8.

During the arrest, the police confiscated a number of evidences, including eight packages of methamphetamine weighing a total of 600 grams, wrapped in clear plastic, a white plastic jar, a black Honda Beat motorcycle (BL 6724 VN), and a blue brand smartphone.

Iptu Very explained that the arrests were made after the police received information from the public regarding the activities of suspects who often carried out drug transactions in Babah Dua Village.

After investigating the report, officers managed to identify the suspect. "At around 20.00 WIB, officers saw the perpetrator passing by using a Honda Beat motorcycle with police number BL 6724 VN. Officers immediately tried to arrest the perpetrator," he said.

When he learned of the police's presence, suspect Z tried to escape and resisted. However, officers managed to secure it. During the search, three packages of methamphetamine were found in the suspect's trouser pocket.

"The suspect admitted that the item belonged to him," said Iptu Very. During further investigation, the suspect revealed that he still kept methamphetamine in his garden in Alue Seupeung Village, Tadu Raya District.

Police immediately went to the location mentioned. In the garden, the suspect showed a white plastic jar hidden in a fallen wooden stick. When opened, five additional packages of crystal methamphetamine were found wrapped in clear plastic.

"Currently, the suspect and evidence have been secured at the Nagan Raya Police Headquarters for further investigation," said Iptu Very.

Investigations continue to be carried out in order to uncover narcotics networks related to the suspect.
