Results Of Recapitulation, KPU Set Airin-Ade Defeat In The 2024 Banten Gubernatorial Election

SERANG - The results of the recapitulation of votes confirmed the defeat of Airin Rachmi Diany-Ade Sumardi from Andra Soni-Dimyati Natakusumah in the 2024 Banten Governor and Deputy Governor Election. The Banten KPU also revealed the trail of Airin-Ade's defeat in the 2024 Banten Pilgub.

Banten Provincial KPU chairman M Ihsan said Airin-Ade only won 2,449,183 votes or 44.12%. Meanwhile, Andra-Dimyati won by obtaining 3,102,501 votes of 55.8% of voters.

"The results of the election for the governor and deputy governor of Banten 2024 are as determined as well as an announcement on Saturday 7 December. This decision has come into effect since it was enacted," he said when reading the decision of the open plenary meeting to recapitulate the votes of the 2024 Banten Pilgub.

Ihsan said the number of permanent voters (DPT) for the 2024 Banten gubernatorial election was 8,926,662 people. The voter participation rate in the 2024 Banten gubernatorial election reached 66.05% or 5,908,176 residents who exercised their voting rights.

"The grant funds from the provincial government amounted to Rp 499 billion," he said.

Referring to the results of the recapitulation of the Banten Pilgub votes announced by the Banten KPU, Andra-Dimyati are superior in six areas, namely Serang City, Tangerang City, Serang Regency, Tangerang Regency, Pandeglang Regency, and Lebak Regency. Meanwhile, Airin-Ade excels in two areas, namely Cilegon City and South Tangerang City.
