Riau Police Seizes Apartment Unit Of Former Acting Mayor Of Pekanbaru In Batam

The Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation of the Riau Regional Police confiscated an apartment belonging to a former Pekanbaru Mayor Muflihun who was at Nagoya City Walk, Batam City, Riau Islands.

The Director of Criminal Investigation at the Riau Police, Senior Commissioner of Police Nasriadi, when confirmed in Pekanbaru, Wednesday, said that the confiscation of the four apartments was related to the alleged corruption of a fictitious official travel order (SPPD) when Muflihun served as Secretary of the Riau Provincial DPRD Council.

The fictitid SPPD funds are sourced from the Riau Province Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget for 2020-2021.

"There has been confiscation of an apartment belonging to Muflihun worth Rp557 million in Citraplaza Nagoya," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, December 4.

Apart from being in the name of Muflihun, three other apartments are owned by Mira Susanti, Irwan Suryadi, and Teddy Kurniawan, which were purchased in 2020. The total value of assets confiscated by the Riau Police Ditreskrimsus in the Riau Islands is around Rp. 2.1 billion.

Previously, the police had also confiscated and sealed the Muflihun house in East Tangkerang, Bukit Raya District, Friday (22/11).

Based on the testimony of local residents, the house occupied by Muflihun's parents was affixed with a sealing banner that reads Sub-Directorate III of the Riau Police Ditreskrimsus.

During the examination process, Muflihun allegedly used an account in the name of another person for transactions. The money in the account is thought to be enjoyed by certain freelance daily personnel who are close to Muflihun.

Muflihun as the Secretary of the DPRD ordered PPTK to enter certain names of freelance daily workers (THL) to carry out official trips. However, the THL never carries out official trips, only getting official travel money for his personal.

Nasriadi revealed that Muflihun admitted to signing a statement on official travel as the party receiving approximately 50 official travel activities. The reason for this signing was because the PPTK was not on the spot.
