SOUTH TANGERANG - Due to an error in the simultaneous voting process on November 27, there were ten people who were not registered on the voter list but voted. Finally, a re-voting (PSU) was carried out at Polling Station 062, RW 022 Puri Bintaro Indah, Jombang, Ciputat, South Tangerang, Tuesday, December 3.

This was stated by Ajat Sudrajat, a member of the South Tangerang KPU. Referring to the 2024 PKPU Article 50 letter E, if an error occurs, a re-voting must be carried out.

"The PSU was carried out because there were voters who were not residents here but voting at the 062 TPS. It was not legal, so the vote had to be re-voting. Thank God it was already going on," he said when met at the re-election location.

Meanwhile, Head of RW 022 H. Aryo Wijatmoko said that due to the mistakes that occurred, TPS officers were forced to work again to organize PSU, as happened on November 27, 2024.

"This is the consequence when there is a mistake. Even though the voter has returned to this area, his ID card is still another area. He should have voted according to the address listed on the ID card. Because his name is registered at the TPS according to the address listed on the ID card," he said.

In addition to TPS 062, on the same day, in other areas in South Tangerang, PSU was also carried out, namely at TPS 1 Sawah Baru, Ciputat. Local residents returned to the TPS to channel their voices.

Unlike simultaneous elections, there are some residents who cannot re-vote because they have to go to work. "Indeed, not all residents who have the right to vote vote, this is more than half of the residents who attend and channel their voting rights. We will wait for the deadline, the deadline for voting is 13.00 WIB. Just TPS officers vote," explained Aryo.

Both Ajat Sudrajat and Aryo Wijatmoko hoped that this PSU would run smoothly and there would be no more mistakes. For prospective voters, they are awaited until 13.00 WIB. After that, a vote count will be carried out.
